For one of our clients, we are currently seeking an experienced Works Manager to play a pivotal role. As a Works Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the seamless execution of projects from initial preparation to final assessment. This dynamic role involves serving as the primary point of contact for all stakeholders, necessitating effective planning, facilitation, organization, monitoring, and proactive adjustments as required. The projects encompass activities related to (sea) transport and the handling of subsea cables for clients within the offshore wind sector.


Key Responsibilities

  • Execute operational preparation for Scope of Works, including project planning, client meetings, team communication, and documentation management in our ERP system;
  • Appoint subcontractors and coordinate the procurement of necessary project equipment (internal & external);
  • Ensure projects adhere to schedules and budgets, with a focus on timely adjustments when needed;
  • Oversee the implementation of cable transfers or other Scope of Works, with 24/7 responsibility managed by day shift and night shift teams;
  • Conduct project evaluations and handle administrative project closure.


Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimum of MBO/HBO level with a relevant technical background;
  • Previous experience in project-based roles within contracting, offshore wind, or a maritime setting is advantageous;
  • Flexibility and a proactive mindset with a commitment to getting the job done;
  • Capacity to motivate, instruct, and address a team when necessary;
  • Comfortable working independently and taking on responsibilities;
  • Creative problem-solving skills and perseverance;
  • Excellent social and communicative abilities;
  • Assertive and persuasive communication with clients and stakeholders;
  • Attention to detail in administration and reporting.
